L’Isle sur la Sorgue is a wonderful little Provencal city of 18000 inhabitants, located in the heart of Vaucluse, 25 km South-East of Avignon.

It’s called the « Venise Comtadine ». « Venise » because the resemblance whith the « Serenissime » is numerous.

The old town ,in wich many canals run through, has preserved a few races of its past thanks to hydraulic system where water wheels are still working.
